about IEEE Student Branch Chapter
The ABES IEEE Student Chapter is one of the most vibrant and technically active student communities at ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad. Originally established years earlier and renewed in 2021, the chapter continues to operate under the esteemed banner of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)—the world’s largest technical professional organization.
The chapter aims to cultivate innovation, technical excellence, and professional growth by providing students with hands-on learning experiences, global exposure, and opportunities to collaborate on real-world engineering challenges. Through workshops, coding competitions, peer-to-peer learning sessions, expert talks, hackathons, and industrial visits, the chapter empowers students to build strong technical and leadership skills.

The ABES EC IEEE Student Branch, in collaboration with the IT Department, successfully organized PROMPT SAGA, an interactive event on prompt engineering and AI-based problem-solving. Students actively participated and explored practical applications of generative AI.

The ABES IEEE Student Chapter welcomes enthusiastic and passionate students who wish to learn, lead, and grow in the world of technology. The recruitment process is simple, transparent, and open to students from all departments. Step-by-Step Recruitment Process
- Registration Form: Fill out the official IEEE Student Chapter membership/interest form released during the recruitment drive.
- Screening & Interaction: Shortlisted students are invited for an interaction round to evaluate their interest, technical curiosity, and willingness to contribute to chapter activities.
- Committee Selection: Based on your skills—technical, management, designing, content writing, PR, or logistics—you are assigned to the most suitable committee.
- IEEE Membership Activation: New members are guided on how to activate or renew their official IEEE membership through the IEEE portal.
- Orientation & Onboarding: Selected members attend an orientation session to understand their roles, responsibilities, and upcoming events.
